Summing up Facebook

I got rid of my Facebook account months ago for reasons that were rather vague concerning privacy and security, but John Dvorak sums it up in a quotation that would have taken me forever to compress in this form:

[...] Facebook is essentially a giant interactive mailing list and is scheduled to deteriorate into a spammer’s paradise for self-promoters. Huzzah.

I couldn’t say it any better.
