November 19 Election Notice

Posted in Politics on October 11th, 2005 by Sacha

I will be running for the Richmond School Board, for the position of School Trustee. The election will be on November 19, 2005. Every three years, each school district across BC has to have an election to choose all of their trustees. Richmond has 7 trustees, and there will be 18 candidates running.

I will be running with the Richmond Independent Team of Electors (RITE), who will be fielding 5 candidates, including myself. For information concerning my campaign or my views on the Richmond education system, you can go to SachaPeter.ca, which will include content much more specific to the position of why you should elect me to be one of your next school trustees.

For those in the media that want to take quotations from past articles on this weblog, please contact Sacha first before publishing anything – thanks.

This post will remain on the top of the main page until November 19, 2005.

Site has been rebuilt

I have finally managed to import most of the previous material I have written back onto this site. There was a Greymatter to Wordpress converter and this eased the transition significantly. As such, there is full access to my previous commentaries, which have been tagged with the “Legacy” category.

I have found a template which was close enough to my previous site that I have adapted for this site. The last time I touched CSS was nearly 6 years ago, and as such, some stuff here might not look cosmetically right. Otherwise, this site should be fully operational. I will be trying to modify the colour and font scheme a little to make it appealing more to the eye, but other than that, it should be close enough to my previous site that it’s ready to go.

Rebuilding the site

Doubleblind.ca will be the site that replaces my old domain, sacha.rdix.com. I will be moving some selected articles that I have written in the past onto this page (restoring the original dates), but this is a painstakingly manual process. I will be restoring original content and timestamps on those articles.

I’ve updated the site template, but this is guaranteed to change in the future as I prefer a white-on-black instead of a black-on-white design. I will be importing some content shortly.
